I have used peanuts alot in the past they were a top bait and i am sure they still are,the trouble is nearly every fishery band them. People would use sakes of them and not properly prepare them. If you do use them buy human grade ones not cheap animal or bird food ones as these contain some kind of toxin, can not remember what sure someone will know??

i have been talking to Jason Cann he is in this months crafty carper he is a very good friend and he has also has had some good catches on them he emailed me this how to prepare them
peanuts,

4kg into a big bucket,
cover in boiling water,
add 1 mug of cooking salt
add 1 heaped table spoon msg, mono sodium glutamate,
soak for 2 days,
then cook and simmer them on the boil for 20 mins, then store in the water back in the bucket, they are now safe and ready to use,
