Topping baits

Tipping baits with plastic corn or foam do you think it works. Do the carp pick up your bait as it stands out or avoid it?

i do it to balence the bait somewhat,anything that makes the hookbait act like the free offerins!!

ive always done it on one rod either a whole bit of fake corn or cut one in half does work on the right day

i always tip with fake corn but do so with different colours on differant rods sometimes can give the edge your after .

also good if ur going to leave the bait out for a long time anticipating a take, prevents the bait going soft and getting sucked of the hair easily!
